Lake Eureka

Policy for reserving Eureka Lake Pavilion

Requests for reservations will not be accepted prior to the first day the City Building is open in each calendar year. For more information, please call the City Building at 309-467-2113.

Each reservation request must be accompanied by a check in the amount of the pavilion rental.($30.00 for residents of the City of Eureka. $60.00 for all others.)

On the third Wednesday of January, all reservation requests will be checked by city personnel and any dates with more than one request will be decided by a lottery which will be held at the Eureka City Building, 128 N. Main St. at 2:00 pm. The rental check will be returned to those who are unsuccessful in the lottery, or they have the option of choosing another date. After that date, reservations will be taken on a first come first serve basis.

The key for the pavilion will need to be picked up between 7:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. at the City Building the last business day prior to the rental date.A $50.00 deposit will be required when the key is picked up. That deposit will be returned when then key is returned to the City Building providing that the pavilion has been left undamaged andclean.

All cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the date of the reservation will result in loss of the entire rental fee.

Fishing Regulations

* Fishing hours are from sunrise to sunset.
* State fishing license is required – no additional city license necessary.
* No more than two poles per person or 2 hooks per line
* No use of minnows for bait – live or dead.
* No more than 10 bullheads daily.
* No more than 3 catfish daily, must be 14” in length
* No more than 3 bass daily, must be 14” in length
* No more than 1 northern pike daily, must be 24” in length

Boating Regulations

* Boating hours from sunrise to sunset.
* No city permits necessary for boating.
* No gas motors, electric trolling motors only.
* All gas motors must be removed from the vehicle before launch.
* Boats must be launched from specific launch area, with the exception of canoes.
* No boats may be left on the lake overnight
