How do I arrange for water service?
The City of Eureka proudly manages and provides water services for all residences and businesses in the city limits. If you have any questions regarding City of Eureka Water Service please call 309-467-2113.
How are your public schools set up?
Eureka is proud to have one of the highest regarded school districts in the region. Check out District 140.
How is garbage collection handled?
Trash collection is handled by Eureka Disposal. Call them at 309-467-3014
Where do I get a driver's license?
Illinois Drivers Licenses are handled by the Illinois Secretary of State's Office. Offices are located in Roanoke, Peoria and Bloomington/Normal.
What can you tell me about youth recreation teams?
Eureka is very proud of its CEGYRA (Congerville, Eureka, Goodfield Youth Recreation Association). CEGYRA offers sports in all seasons for sports of all kinds.
Where is the nearest hospital?
For a town of only 5,000 residents Eureka has its own hospital - Advocate Eureka Hospital. It is associated with the Advocate Health System in Bloomington/Normal only 40 minutes away. Peoria is also home to a significant regional health system boasting three major hospitals on the average only 30 minutes away.
How far are you from Peoria, Bloomington-Normal, Chicago and St. Louis?
Eureka is centrally located in Illinois, often referred to as the Heart of Illinois. Peoria is 30 minutes away, Bloomington/Normal is 40 minutes away, Chicago is just 2.5 hours by car while St. Louis is 3.
