AGENDA

		Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance Roll Call Approval of Minutes from the January 21, 2008 Council meeting. Public Comments on any action to be taken on Agenda items. Approval of semi-monthly bills. Treasurer’s Report (2nd monthly meeting). Dan Harrod would like to address the Council. Recommendation from the Public Safety Committee to approve Ordinance 08-02. An Ordinance amending the Eureka Municipal Code Title 9 – “Public Peace, Morals and Welfare” with the addition of Chapter 9.100. Smoking Restrictions – Use of Tobacco Products. The ordinance is modeled after the new State Law. Mr. Punke Recommendation from the Public Safety Committee to allow Chief Misener to order the 2008 Ford Explorer which is included in the FY 08-09 budget prior to the formal approval in April in amount not to exceed $22,000. The cut off date for ordering the 2008 vehicle is March 15^th. Mr. Punke Recommendation from the Public Safety Committee to allow the purchase of three tasers by Chief Misener out of special funds in an amount not to exceed $3,500. Special funds include Pull tabs, College reserves, and Drug related fines. Mr. Punke Recommendation from the Maintenance Committee to purchase a 2008 Ford Ranger which is included in the FY 08-09 budget prior to the formal approval in April in an amount not to exceed $12, 000. The cut off date for ordering the 2008 vehicle is April 1, 2008. Mr. Waters Recommendation from the Administration Committee to approve Ordinance 08-01 An Ordinance adopting the 2008 Edition of the Eureka Municipal Code. Mr. Meares Recommendation from the Park Committee to proceed with the feasibility study for a Municipal Pool. Mr. Hinnen Committee Reports. Budget Committee – Mr. Waters Administration and Personnel Committee - Mr. Meares Enterprise Committee – Mr. Hinnen Maintenance – Mr. Waters Public Safety – Mr. Punke Park & Recreation Committee – Mr. Hinnen Economic Development & Tourism – Mr. Kupfer Liquor Commission – Mayor Punke Communication Committee – Mrs. Hinthorne New business to come before the council.
