Special Eureka City Council Meeting
This special meeting of Eureka City Council was called to order at 5:00 p.m. Present and answering roll call: Hinnen, V. Punke, Chambliss, Waters, Meares, and Weidner. Aldermen Eckert and Hangartner were absent. Also present were Mayor Scott Punke, Anne Sandvik, and Marilyn Walter. There is a quorum.
This meeting was called to consider the settlement agreement on pending litigation between Shawn Meyer and the City of Eureka. The settlement amount for Shawn Meyer to drop the litigation plans against the City and for Shawn’s resignation from employment with the City has been agreed upon by both parties and is to be kept confidential. The figures were given to the Council on Monday night,
May 15, during Executive Session. Meares moved, second by Weidner, to approve the settlement. Passed on roll call vote with Meares, Weidner, Hinnen, V. Punke, Chambliss, and Waters all voting Aye.
Hinnen moved, second by Meares, to adjourn the meeting at 5:04 p.m.
