MINUTES OF THE EUREKA CITY PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION
October 15, 2009

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Mick Simenc and roll call taken. Present were Al Hinnen, Stan Wertz and Ken Knepp. Mr. Cuffe was absent.

The minutes of the September 17th meeting were moved for approval as written by Hinnen and second by Wertz. All voted yes.

The Public hearing notice on the agenda for tonight was not discussed as the hearing is set for the November meeting and not for the Octobers agenda.

The Special Use was not discussed as scheduled for the November meeting.

The Commission discussed the proposed revision of the Eureka Municipal Zoning Code Book. The Commission has been working on the Code Book for a two year period and has determined the Code as written by the Commission should proceed to the Council for approval. It was moved by Wertz to recommend approval of the 2009 Eureka Municipal Zoning Code Book and to send to the Code Book as written to the Eureka City Council for approval. Second Knepp. All voted yes.

The Commission discussed planning for the future and will begin the review of the City of Eureka Comprehensive plan in January of 2010.

Mr. Knepp made a motion for adjournment. Second by Hinnen. All voted yes.
