The January meeting was held at Maple Lawn Homes with 15 in attendance. The meeting was called to order at 8:00 a.m. The minutes for the last meeting were accepted for filing. There was a treasury balance of $11,326.32.
Committee Reports:
EBA Member Promotions - Eldon LiaBraaten circulated information he had put together regarding member promotions. This is a program whereby EBA. members' would have the opportunity to advertise their business. The proposal included cost for either using direct mail or in conjunction with circulation of the Woodford County Journal. A portion of the cost would be paid by the EBA with said business picking- up the remainder.
Marge Ulrich also circulated information she had put together for alternative
promotions. .
Both members had gone to some trouble to put the proposals together. They were both tabled until next month to give everyone a chance to digest the information.
It was suggested to include. a copy of the mission statement with the agenda and
minutes in next month's mailing. .
City - Jim Meares represented the City. The first liquor license was issued to Eureka College for their Founder's Day event including Michael Reagan. The water project on Hamilton Street is finished. The City Administrator search has been called off. Anne Sandvik, who currently is acting administrator, will continue to hold the position indefinitely.

Eldon announced that the CEGEA has a chili and soup supper Friday night at the High School from 4:30 to 8:30. Money being raised will go for scholarships to Eureka High School students.
