Suggestions for New Members to Contact

Brief Business Update –

JoDean Schmidt was present and explained the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program that she is part of. IRS Section 69 stipulates mandatory public education and spells out the requirements for VITA. JoDean has been with the program since 2004. In 2004 she helped 23 people with tax preparation and saw that grow to 55 in 2005. She is asking for community involvement. Her current needs include a private office space with two exits. It also must be able to lock when not in use and have a printer and internet access. Anyone able to supply that is urged to contact JoDean.

The EBA is looking to fill the New Business Ambassador position that has been most recently held by John Green and Mark Hinrichsen. Please contact any board member if you are interested.
