EUREKA BUSINESS ASSOCIATION
Minutes for June 18, 2009
The June meeting was at the Eureka College Cerf Center with 13 people in attendance. The meeting was called to order at 8:00 a.m. The May minutes were approved. Treasurer Eldon LiaBraaten that the balance was $8443.30.
Committee Reports:
4th of July Parade: Bryant Ruder saida large parade has been planned for Saturday, July 4. Volunteers to direct traffic will be needed. Call Bryant at 696-8560.
City:
Jim Meares talked about the wind turbine study the city is planning.
Sesquicentennial Update:
Band concerts: Amber Harmon passed around a sign-up sheet for volunteers for the July band concert. The June concert was a lot of fun and everyone is encouraged to attend on July 12. The Metamora Community Band will be performing.
Merchants’ Tent: Amber Harmon said she sent out the letters to non-EBA members. The spots are filling up quickly. Call Amber at 467-9059 with questions.
Brief Business Updates:
Duane Schroeder shared that Main Street Technologies has closed. Greg Hollenberg and Rick Robinson offered a great service to the community, and their business will be missed in Eureka.
