U.S. 24 Closure in Eureka
The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that U.S. 24 will be closed to traffic at Parkway Drive in Eureka, from the morning of Wednesday, April 26 until the afternoon of Friday, April 28.
The closure is necessary for culvert and shoulder repair work. A marked detour will route traffic to IL 117, IL 116 and County Highway 3/23 (Metamora-Washington Blacktop) during this time.
Following the full closure, one lane of U.S. 24 will remain closed at this location with traffic controlled by temporary signals until all repair work is completed. All lanes are expected to reopen by early to mid-May.
